The Western Cape is filled with opportunities to swim in open water. Tygerberg Aquatics swimmers are exposed to swimming in open water at a young age and given the opportunity to grow in confidence by participating in various open water events across the country. A love of nature is instilled early on, with the view of continuing the appreciation of swimming outdoors beyond a swimmer’s competitive years.
