The WCA A Champs are scheduled for 5-9 December – UWC, indoor 50m swimming pool, Bellville

Please take note of the following important information:

Rules: WC A Champs Rules 2024

A swimmer is eligible to swim the events at both WC A and B Champs that he/she has qualified for as per the prescribed qualifying times as well as 3 additional events that they have not qualified for, providing they have official times swum on the WC database.
In addition, the 50m events may be entered provided there are times recorded on the database. Swimmers may not enter on NT or custom times – this includes the relay events.
A swimmer who qualifies for 2 (two) or more events at the WC A-Champs level, must swim at the WC A-Championships and may not swim at the B-Championships.
If the swimmer qualifies for only 1 (one) event for WC A Champs, he/she may choose to swim at either A or B Championships.
A swimmer who is only 10 yrs old and younger, on the first day of WC A Champs, who qualifies for WC A Champs may choose to participate at either the WC A or B Champs – they may not compete at both. They may choose to participate at WC A Champs or B Champs irrespective of whether they age up between the competitions.

Qualifying times: WCA LC & SC CHAMPS QTS 2024

the gala will serve as the first part of the Provincial SA Schools Trials for the A qualifiers. The WC B Champs will act as the second Schools Trials for the B qualifiers.
