The CTA Qualifying Gala #1 is scheduled for 6-9 September 2019 at the Reddam, Somerset West.

Entry due date: entries should be submitted to ADMIN@tygerbergaquatics.com by 21 August at 6pm

This gala is for LEVEL 1 & up swimmers.

Swimmers may enter a maximum of 5 events.  Please check the following top times reports aged up to day 1 of the gala and reflecting times as long course converted times, as this gala is being swum in a 50m pool.  You will see 3 different top times reports:

top times aged up to 6 sep 2019 all events current season  – top times showing only this season’s events – use this one to check which events you don’t have times for yet this season (NOTE: does not include CTA Level 1 #3 results);

top times aged up to 6 sep 2019 IM current season – top times showing only IM’s swum this season – swimmers need at least 2 x IM’s in this current season to take part in SA Champs this season (NOTE: 100m IM times don’t count);

top times aged up to 6 sep 2019 – top times including last season’s results.

Swimmers should try and enter the following events:

1. 200IM – swimmers need at least 2 x 200IM times on the database to swim at Regional & National competitions at the end of the season (Level 2 & up);
2. events they have not swum yet this season – so that they have a time on the database before Provincial Champs in December (focus on: Level 1 swimmers: 50’s & 100’s; Level 2 swimmers 50’s, 100’s & 200’s (not 200fly); Level 3 swimmers 50’s, 100’s, 200’s & 400’s (not 400IM); SANJ swimmers all events);
3. events they are close to qualifying for Provincial, Regional and National competitions.
